The Pontian District is a district in southwest Johor, Malaysia. The name Pontian is also used in the names of two towns in the district, Pontian Besar and Pontian Kechil, of which the latter serves as its district capital. The capital was formerly a fishing village which has developed into a small town. Pontian district also have a lot of interesting place that you can find here such as for attraction places which is Taman Negara, Pulau Kukup, Taman Negara Tanjung Piai , Tambak, Muzium Nanas, Muzium Bugis, and so on. There are two national park in Pontian District which is Taman Negara, Pulau Kukup and Taman Negara Tanjung Piai. Inside the national park, there are so much thing that can be seen for instance the view around the national park, the various types of mangrove over there and also the surrounding of the national park itself. It is so calm with the surrounding of national park there.

Besides the attraction places that become the main attraction, the food around Pontian District is also quite good and tasty. Pontian District has known as the pineapple producer around the Malasysia because of at the Pontian District, there are a lot of pineapple farm that can be seen. So, no wonder they implement the pineapple element in their foods around the Pontian District.
